Credits Required for Graduation: 3.00
A variety of credit courses can be used for professional development in the Early Childhood Education field. Childcare providers may choose from many of Western’s Early Childhood Education (ECE) program courses in order to further their credit-based education for The Registry or YoungStar. The certificate designation allows member of the childcare profession to take courses without being admitted into the associate degree program. No formal certificate is earned and there is no prescribed certificate completion. However, courses completed with a grade of C or better are transferrable into the ECE associate degree program. Course completion does not represent admission to the ECE program. Students seeking admission to the ECE associate degree program must submit an application and meet program acceptance requirements.
